Thanks for working here Thursday, Shawn, CNA, Pioneer Manor

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Allow me to introduce Shawn, CNA, who works at Pioneer Manor long term care facility. Shawn had always known that she wanted to be a nurse and became a CNA when she lived in Colorado, where she worked for a nursing home. When she moved to Gillette, she got a job with Pioneer Manor—that was in 1995. We asked Shawn what she likes most about her department, and what Excellence Every Day means to her. Check out her response:

"I have to say that working with the residents is my favorite part of the job. You get very attached to them—they become a second family. I work with a wonderful team of people and it makes coming to work easy.

My approach to excellence every day is simple: I think of the residents as my family, and I think about doing my job as how I'd want my family treated. I want the resident's rooms to look how I'd expect my families room to look when I visited them. I take a lot of pride in my work, and I do it so I can make others feel good."

Shawn, thank you for going the extra mile to care for the residents at Pioneer Manor every day. We are proud to have you on our team.

Is there a CCH employee who went the extra mile or shows you extraordinary service? Give them a pat on the back by completing an Excellence Every Day card.
