As many of you know, cancer is a shock both emotionally and financially to patients and their families. That’s why the Campbell County Healthcare Foundation’s (CCHCF) Cancer Care Committee helps patients by paying certain expenses.

On February 13, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office donated $1,000 to the Cancer Care Committee. The Sheriff's Office Employee Recognition Committee conducts an annual fundraiser in the office by employees who wish to wear casual uniforms on designated dates throughout the year. Every year, a local charity is selected by the committee to receive funds. This year, the committee selected the Cancer Care Committee as the recipient.

Don’t forget that the Cancer Care Committee’s Chair Affair is taking place Friday, March 31 at 6 pm at the Gillette College Technical Education Center, 3251 S. 4-J Road in Gillette, Wyoming. This is a business-casual event where you can bid on one-of-a-kind furniture pieces built by community members who have up-cycled, reupholstered or designed a piece of furniture. Tickets are $50 per person and are available at the Heptner Cancer Center at Campbell County Memorial Hospital, or by calling CCHCF at 307.688.6235.
