Welcome Dr. Connally

  • Posted On:

For Dr. Patricia Connally, CCMH is the best of both worlds. Dr. Connally is Board Certified in Family Practice, but she’ll be working at Orthopaedic Specialists of Wyoming, providing non-surgical orthopedic care.

Dr. Connally grew up in northeast Wyoming, and returned home to Crook County 1½ years ago to
work for Crook County Medical Services in family practice and providr ER coverage in Sundance.

"Maybe you can never completely go home again," said Dr. Connally. "After a time I found I wanted to be part of a bigger, more progressive organization."

Her career path has taken her from Med Tech to medical school at age 39, and an interest in orthopedics, even though she graduated as a D.O. specializing in a family practice.

"My mentor at Michigan State was interested in sports medicine and had a huge impact on me," said Dr. Connally. "My only sport was rodeo, and that led me to practice in Colorado at Orthopedic Center of the Rockies and the Poudre Valley Health System."

It was in Crook County that she met Dr. Monica Morman and began referring orthopedic patients to her.

"Dr. Morman and I have a similar philosophy," said Dr. Connally, "We are very patient-focused and have a Western background. And, we both married Texans!"

Dr. Connally has two grown sons, two stepdaughters and a first grandchild due in February. She and her husband Rob plan to live in Sundance, and commute together each day to their jobs in Gillette. She plans to continue to provide ER coverage once a month in Sundance to keep connected to that community.
