Cardiac Rehab Reunion scheduled on February 20

GILLETTE, WY - Current and former patients of Campbell County Health's Cardiac Rehabilitation program are invited to attend the fourth annual Cardiac Rehab Reunion on Monday, February 20 from 6-8 pm at the Gillette College Technical Education Center.

"The reunion is a way to connect with our former patients and see how they're doing," said Cardiac Rehab nurse Donna Reece. "It also gives current patients a chance to meet others who have completed the program."

The Cardiac Rehab Reunion is free of charge and features guest speaker Ann Wittman, Director of the Wyoming Beef Council. Her presentation is entitled "BOLD-Beef in an Optimal Lean Diet. Dinner will be served. Call 688.2330 for more information or to RSVP for the event.

The CCMH Cardiac Rehabilitation program helps patients gain a healthier lifestyle by strengthening their hearts and reducing their risk for future problems. The program combines exercise with information on how to modify coronary risk factors after a heart attack, stent, coronary artery bypass, valve replacement, stable angina or heart-lung or lung transplant.

Class sizes are small with individualized direction in exercise and patient education. The staff of registered nurses works closely with the patient, their cardiologist, primary physician, dietitian, diabetes educator, social worker and other healthcare providers using a multidisciplinary approach.
