American College of Cardiology NCDR ACTION Registry Silver Award recognizes high standards of patient care

GILLETTE, WY – Campbell County Health (CCH) has received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR ACTION Registry Silver Performance Achievement Award for 2017. CCH is one of only 105 health care organizations nationwide to receive the honor.

The award recognizes CCH’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients, and signifies that CCH has reached an aggressive goal of treating these patients to standard levels of care as outlined by the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association clinical guidelines and recommendations. ACTION Registry empowers health care teams to consistently treat heart attack patients according to the most current, science-based guidelines and establishes a national standard for understanding and improving the quality, safety and outcomes of care provided for patients with coronary artery disease, specifically high-risk heart attack patients.

“By participating in the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR registry Campbell County Health works to ensure that the care provided to our patients is of the highest quality, “ said Nicholas Stamato, MD, FACC, FACCP, FAHA, FHRS, FSCAI, Cardiologist at Campbell County Medical Group Cardiology clinic. “Patients can be assured that programs like CCH’s cardiac program meet the highest national standards. This Silver Award is the highest honor possible for a health care organization of our size. The entire team—from CCH Emergency Medical Services to the CCMH Emergency Department, Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Intensive Care Unit, Medical/Surgical Unit, and the CCMG Cardiology clinic—takes great pride in this award.”

To receive the ACTION Registry Silver Performance Achievement Award, Campbell County Health has demonstrated sustained achievement in the ACTION Registry for four consecutive quarters, and has performed at the top level of standards for specific performance measures. Full participation in the registry engages health care organizations in a robust quality improvement process using data to drive improvements in adherence to guideline recommendations and overall quality of care provided to heart attack patients.

“As a Silver Performance Award recipient, CCH has shown it is a leader in implementing standards of care and protocols for its patients,” said Deepak L. Bhatt, MD, MPH, FACC, Chair of the ACTION Registry; Executive Director of Interventional Cardiovascular Programs at Brigham and Women’s Hospital Heart and Vascular Center; and Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School. “By meeting the requirements set forth in the registry and establishing a culture of providing guideline-recommended therapy, Campbell County Health is saving lives and improving outcomes of heart attack patients.”
