Campbell County Health names Chief Operating Officer

GILLETTE, WY – Colleen Heeter has been named Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Campbell County Health (CCH) as of February 1, 2019.

“I am delighted to join the Campbell County Health team,” said Colleen. “With the CCH history of patient-centered care and high-quality service delivery, I am confident that together we can put forward the quadruple Aim of high quality outcomes, affordable healthcare, outstanding patient experience and satisfied staff and providers.”

Ms. Heeter has a Bachelor's of Nursing from Creighton University, in Omaha, Neb., and a Master's of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). She has held several executive level positions in the area of surgical hospital operations throughout the Midwest. Ms. Heeter has served as the Interim Director of the Powder River Surgery Center since April 2018.

“I am thrilled to have Colleen join us in this new capacity,” said Andy Fitzgerald, CEO. “I am confident, with her clinical and operational background, she is going to help us improve as an organization. We are dedicated to a relentless pursuit of safety and quality, and Colleen is going help us achieve that.”

The COO is responsible for the day-to-day administration and operations of CCH, reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is considered the second in command. The COO position was designed and created to help the organization increase the focus on clinical and financial outcomes from operations. The COO will have operating oversight of most clinical areas of CCH and be accountable for affecting change across the continuum of care. The COO is charged with vigilance in seeing that the intended organizational outcomes are the outcomes produced over the broad offering of CCH services.
