CCH implements symptom screening, increased visiting restrictions

GILLETTE, WY – Campbell County Health has increased visiting restrictions and implemented screening protocols for selected facilities and departments. Visiting restrictions are in place to help protect visitors, residents and employees.

Rules that go into effect today, March 11, 2020, at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center include:

• Visitors must be adult, 18 years old and older.
• Visits are allowed to take place between the hours of 8 am-5 pm every day.
• All visitors must sign into a visitor’s log.
• All visitors and volunteers will be screened for respiratory symptoms each time they visit.
• External group activities are cancelled until further notice. For questions, please call the Activities Office at 307-688-7143.
• Visitors who feel ill should not visit. Please do not come if you have a fever, shortness of breath, cough, runny nose, muscle aches or fatigue.

Rules that go into effect today at Close to Home Hospice include:

• All visitors must sign into a visitor’s log.
• All visitors and volunteers will be screened for respiratory symptoms each time they visit. Employees will be screened for respiratory illness as well.
• Visitors who feel ill should not visit. Please do not come if you have a fever, shortness of breath, cough, runny nose, muscle aches or fatigue.

Rules that go into effect today in the Dialysis Unit at Campbell County Memorial Hospital include:

• Visitation is limited, and all patients, family members and visitors will be screening prior to entering the unit.

To help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases, please follow the following guidelines:

• Avoid contact with sick people
• Stay home when sick
• Do not touch your eyes, nose and mouth
• Cover nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
• Wash hands often and carefully. Use soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
