Campbell County Health Prepares For Potential Influx Of Patients

GILLETTE, WY – Campbell County Health is continuing to formulate plans to prepare Campbell County Memorial Hospital for a potential influx of coronavirus (COVID-19) patients, admitted through the Emergency department (ED).

On Monday, April 13, a large tent will be set up in the ED parking lot for potential use in the future. The tent is being set up and equipped now, so it can be used quickly in the event it is needed.

A process has been developed to evaluate patients in their vehicles and direct them to the appropriate treatment entrance, depending on whether they have respiratory symptoms and fever, or if they require other types of medical care.

People should continue to call their healthcare provider first if they need medical care. Many CCH providers are also offering telephone or virtual visits. If you have suffered a serious injury or have symptoms of a serious condition such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe abdominal pain, or have a possible emergency, please call 911.

If you do not have a medical provider, contact Campbell County Public Health for a list of doctors in the Campbell County, Wyoming community at 307-682-7275. You can also visit www.cchwyo.org/findadoc for a list of CCH healthcare providers.
