Heptner Cancer Center and Infusion Center
The Heptner Cancer Center provides advanced facilities and comprehensive
treatment programs (including Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy) for
patients in Gillette and northeast Wyoming. Cancer treatment falls into
two primary categories:
The type of cancer, the stage it is in, and the patient's physical
condition are all considered when developing a treatment plan. We also
offer Infusion therapies/treatment in the Infusion Center (IV antibiotics,
hydration, Remicade infusions, iron deficiency therapy, and many others).
Campbell County Health is proud to provide comprehensive Cancer Care right
here in Campbell County.
After you receive a diagnosis of cancer from your medical doctor or surgeon,
you are referred to the physicians in Cancer Care Services, where you
collaborate with other health professionals to develop an individualized
treatment plan. The treatment plan is used to implement the most effective
treatment possible. Campbell County Health's Cancer Care team is here
for you and your family; to walk beside you. We're here for you, working
together to provide quality cancer care to patients in our region from
diagnosis through treatment and follow-up.
Cancer Resource Center
Thanks to a two-year grant of $170,001 from the
Wyoming Cancer Resource Services Project, residents from Campbell, Crook, Johnson and Sheridan Wyoming counties
have access to the Cancer Resource Center at Campbell County Health. Staffed
by Kate Johnson, BSW, she can visit with patients one-on-one at the Center
to help them learn about their specific cancer and how to navigate choices
and treatments, and gain access to cancer screenings, wigs, books, education
materials, gas cards for travel to out-of-town cancer treatments, and
much more. Check with the registration staff at the Center to see when
she is available for a visit, or call Kate Johnson directly at 888.684.4550.
