Speech Therapy
Speech therapy utilizes many interventions aimed at improving the listening, speaking, reading, writing and swallowing skills in adults and children. A trained speech-language pathologist can provide evaluation and treatment, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, counsel families on treatment options, and be an advocate with insurance companies for reimbursement.

- Adult Services: Adults can acquire speech, language and swallowing disorders due to factors such as stroke, head injury, diseases that affect the brain (i.e., ALS, Parkinsons), breathing problems requiring a tracheotomy and/or ventilator, head or neck cancer, abuse/misuse of the vocal cords, and severe or long-term illness.
- Child Services: Children develop speech and language at varying rates. When a child's skills do not continue to grow, or the speech and language is hard to understand, they may have a speech or language delay or disorder.
