Campbell County Health Unanimously Approves Amended Management Services Agreement

GILLETTE, WY – On Thursday July 15, 2021, the elected Board of Trustees for Campbell County Health (CCH) voted on the newly amended Management Services Agreement for CCH’s planned affiliation. The vote was unanimous, and the plan to add resources and services to CCH while retaining local independence and Board oversight now has the support of all seven members.

“In a precarious time for rural healthcare in America, the affiliation agreement with UCHealth unanimously approved by the CCH Board of Trustees is a beacon of hope and stability for our organization and community.” said Board Chairman Adrian Gerrits. “The decision is the culmination of almost two years of hard work and due diligence by our organization and Board of Trustees. Building consensus and trust within our Board, organization and community has not been easy, but has given us a pathway to continue building that trust into the future. We have found an excellent partner in UCHealth and we eagerly await the decision by the commissioners on the 20th to finalize the partnership.”

This newly amended agreement is a product of CCH and board members listening not only to our County Commissioners, but also listening to our community and doing our very best to address everyone’s concerns. We truly believe this agreement is the next best step for our organization and the community.

Through the alignment with UCHealth, a nationally recognized health care system, CCH would be able to utilize a new electronic medical record, other IT resources, consulting services and more while remaining independent.

“We view partnerships like this as an opportunity to enhance patient care, improve efficiencies, and boost the overall health of people throughout the region,” said Kevin Unger, president and CEO of UCHealth’s northern Colorado region. “Campbell County Health their medical group and clinics have a reputation for providing high-quality care and an excellent experience for patients. We would be honored to partner with CCH to help advance their excellent work.”

The County Commissioners will be voting for the second time on Tuesday July, 20, 2021, and all of us at CCH and UCHealth are looking forward to a positive outcome, and the beginning of a new chapter for our organizations.

-Be well, and thank you,
