Thanks for working here this week: Mariah Blaze Harnish, CNA, The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Meet Mariah Blaze Harnish, CNA, who works at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center in Gillette, Wyoming. She has been with the legacy for more than three and a half years, and primarily cares for residents on the Spruce neighborhood. Mariah is currently in the certified medication assistant program available at The Legacy, and is a full-time student at Gillette College going through the Health Science Program.

Mariah says she was inspired to work in healthcare when her step dad was in the hospital with liver failure. “I watched as the nurses did everything in their power to keep him alive and going, but his liver was already so far gone. It made me realize that I wanted to be that nurse that did everything she could,” Mariah says.

She calls her healthcare hero, Shawn Salmon. “She is by far one of the most experienced CNA's I have worked with. She is a great advocate for our residents and goes above and beyond her job duties. She always has a positive attitude no matter the situation. I am truly grateful to have her as a partner,” Mariah says.

When she’s not working at The Legacy, or going to school, Mariah says that she loves camping and getting out of town with her children, who are her world.

We asked Mariah what she likes most about working for CCH and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“The staff and management are beyond helpful, and I’m truly beyond grateful to work here. I also enjoy listening to my residents’ stories.

Excellence Every Day to me is having a positive attitude, and going above and beyond our work duties. I am so appreciative to be in a career where I can keep going up.”

Thank you, Mariah for being a part of our team. We appreciate you!
