Thanks for working here Thursday: Camilla, Patient Accounting

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Allow me to introduce Camilla, the Cashier in Patient Accounting—when you come to CCMH to pay a bill, you may see her busily working away while you're paying your bill. Camilla has an associate's degree in accounting has been with CCH for 33 years—and she's been the cashier for nearly 30 of those years, so she's seen, and counted, a lot of change in those years. Camilla has been around long enough to remember when statements would be sent out once a month—not daily like they are now—and that initially departments only had one computer, and when they finally did get multiple computers, employees would have to share them. Technology may have helped make her department faster and more efficient, but Camilla knows that it's a smile and often a personal touch that can help a patient the most.

We asked Camilla what she likes most about working at CCH and what Excellence Every Day means to her. Her response:

"The people are what I like about my job. I work with a group who really does care about providing great customer service to our patients. My job is challenging as well—this department is busy, so it's a challenge just to keep up!

Excellence Every Day means that I'm providing the best answers and service to our patients that I can."

Camilla, you're a rock star. We appreciate the years of service that you have given us and couldn't ask for a better employee. Thanks for being on our team.

Is there a CCH employee who went the extra mile or shows you extraordinary service? Give them a pat on the back by completing an Excellence Every Day card.
