CCH honors volunteers for more than 10,000 hours

In honor of National Healthcare Volunteer Week (April 10-16), CCH held a volunteer appreciation dinner on April 14 to recognize the great support these individuals give us every day. Volunteers were entertained by Smothermon Vocal Studio while enjoying quite a feast by The Prime Rib Restaurant and Wine Cellar at the Campbell County Senior Center.

There are more than 340 adult and youth volunteers who give their time and talents to Campbell County Health. In 2015, volunteers gave 10,072 hours, which is valued at over $210,000!

Volunteers contribute throughout the organization with clerical support, administrative assistance, pastoral care/chaplains, childcare, Gift Shoppe sales, hospice, Information Desk/Welcome Desk, music in the lobby, arranging times for Campbell County Healthcare Foundation Sports Screenings, and more. Volunteers reap many personal benefits—the accomplishment of performing worthwhile work, visiting with old friends and meeting new ones. Our volunteers make a difference in someone's day simply by being there.

Thank you volunteers, for all that you do for CCH and this community.
