Landi Halloran

Dr. Landi Halloran recertified in Pediatrics
Dr. Landi Halloran is now recertified for another 10 years from the American Board of Pediatrics. Board ertification is a voluntary process that goes above and beyond state licensing requirements for practicing medicine. It is an ongoing commitment by a physician to continually expand their knowledge in a medical specialty. Once pediatricians are certified, they must continue to demonstrate learning through a formal Maintenance of Certification program if they want to remain certified. Dr. Halloran is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine, and practices at Campbell County Medical Group Internal Medicine at the Main Clinic. Read more

Chad Oelke and Raelyn Rozier

Three ED nurses board certified in Emergency Nursing
Three Emergency Department employees have received their Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) from The Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN)—Kelly Heimer, RN, CEN, who has been with CCH since August 2012 (not pictured); Chad Oelke, RN, CEN, who has been with CCH since February 2014; and Raelyn Rozier, RN, CEN, who has been with CCH since June 2012. This certification is voluntary, shows that the nurse is going above and beyond state nursing requirements, as well as shows dedication to continuing education in the ED.

According to BCEN, more than 30,500 nurses hold the CEN certification. To qualify for the exam, a nurse must hold a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the United States. BCEN recommends nurses who take the exam have two years' experience in the ED. The exam specifications cover cardiovascular emergencies, respiratory emergencies, shock, medical emergencies and communicable diseases, among others. Learn more about the CEN at www.bcencertifications.org.
