Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.
Say hello to Robyn Laughlin, RRT, NPS, who works in several departments at Campbell County Health—Cardiopulmonary Services,
Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and the
Sleep Center. Robyn is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), and that NPS certification means that she can also work in advanced care in pediatrics and neonatology centers and units. For those who don't know, a respiratory therapist is someone who cares for patients who have trouble breathing—this can be from a chronic respiratory disease, such as asthma or emphysema. They also provide emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, stroke, drowning, or shock. She attended Respiratory Therapy school at Apollo College and worked at
St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for nine years before coming to Gillette in 2006—she's been with Campbell County Health for nearly 10 years. We asked Robyn what inspired her to pursue a career in health care, as well as what she likes about working for CCH. Check out her response:
"I have always had a fascination with healthcare and enjoy learning—I found that a career as a respiratory therapist was the right step for me. Campbell County Health has given me a lot of learning opportunities to continue to grow in my field. And, I like my department because we are like a family and work well as a team."
Robyn, we appreciate how you always come to work with your best foot forward and provide the best care for your patients on a consistent basis. We are proud to have you on our team.
