Jay Mahylis, Gillette Resident, talks about the CCMH Inpatient Room Project

Jay Mahylis is a member of the Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC), a volunteer group of Gillette, Wyoming community members who look at Campbell County Health from the patient’s point of view. They help CCH make improvements through reviewing patient materials, secret shopping and other projects. PFAC members were part of the Campbell County Memorial Hospital inpatient room design committee and provided input about all aspects of the project, including frank discussions about the cost. Their opinions and some of the suggestions they shared with the architects and employees became part of the final design. They wanted to make sure the community was going to get the ‘best bang for their buck’ with quality care for patients.
