Ashley NevesCampbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Meet Ashley Neves, a Registration Specialist in the Campbell County Medical Group Main Clinic, on the south side of Campbell County Memorial Hospital. Ashley is one of the friendly faces you will see when you check in at the Main Clinic, which houses Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology and Pain, OB GYN Specialists, Pediatrics, and Urology. As a registration specialist, she schedules appointments, helps gather information from patients to register for their doctor's appointment, and enters that information into their electronic medical record. Ashley has earned an Associates of Arts in Psychology, and has worked for CCH for the last three years. She came to CCH because she enjoys working with people.

Ashley calls Dr. Bernadette Meade her health care hero. “Dr. Meade works here at the Main Clinic, The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center and Hospice. She is such a compassionate soul. You can see she is here for her patients and does things exactly how they should be done. I often wonder if she gets a break as she is at all three of the facilities,” she says.

When Ashley’s not at work, she says she enjoys traveling. “Whether it is to Hawaii or to Montana, I enjoy getting out of town and going on the adventure. Life is too short to not enjoy what you are given!” she says. We asked Ashley what she likes most about working at CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“I started out as a temporary Way Finder in the Main Clinic—essentially, I helped people get to and from the Main Clinic from CCMH when it first opened. Eight months later, I was hired in the Lab. Knowing nothing about the medical field, I clung to my colleague Maria Cortez and tried to learn as much as possible in the lab and how the clinic worked. My full time position started in the phone room with Amanda Hendrickson. She gave me the tools to learn Greenway and so much more. My final stop as of right now in my Registration Specialist position. I think I do my best work here. I am able to answer more questions patients ask and give better direction. Not to mention I have gained so much knowledge. When I talk to patients and can give them an immediate answer to what they are needing is when I know that I am exactly where I need to be. It is in those moments that I take great pride in working here and what I do.

I’d have to say that the best thing about working for CCH is my co-workers! They are the most amazing, patient people that I know. If I ever have questions, they normally have the answers or know who I should talk to in order to get the right answer. I have made great friendships working in the Main Clinic, along with the knowledge they have given me to take care of the patients that are seen here.

Excellence Every Day means that I am giving 110 percent to the patients. Anything that I can do for them to brighten their day is my goal. Whether it is helping them down to the lab, or even taking their hand and walking them to their car. You can really tell that they appreciate you in those moments, and that you are making a difference in their life!”

Thank you, Ashley, for striving to make a difference in our patients’ lives every day. We are proud to have you on our team.
