CCH July 2018 Department Discovery: CCH Human Resources

The Campbell County Health July 2018 Department Discovery shines a light the CCH Human Resources department.

For those who don’t know, a human resources department is a critical component of employee well-being in any organization—in fact, HR responsibilities include payroll, benefits, hiring, firing, and keeping up to date with state and federal tax laws.

“We are the starting point for all employees and applicants as well as a continuous resource for all existing employees,” says Human Resources Vice President Noamie Niemitalo.

And they do all of this with just six employees—in fact, the staff in HR have a combined total of 100+ years at CCH! That’s a wealth of knowledge in their line of work.

“We are really just here to help everyone,” says Noamie. “Many people hear Human Resources and think of scary things or being in trouble, but every good thing about your employment is also taken care of in Human Resources—like pay raises and benefits!”

According to Noamie, the best part of working in HR is the interaction with all the employees across CCH. The organization is the most comprehensive healthcare provider in the state of Wyoming—with a hospital, nearly 20 clinics, a long-term care center and the Powder River Surgery Center, along with a host of other services including Emergency Medical Services, Home Medical Resources, Rehabilitation, and Wellness. CCH strives to provide its staff with great benefits, patient-focused resources, professional development, a vibrant community and work/life balance.

This year, the staff in HR is working on new application software to help with recruitment efforts, as well as possibly implementing online benefit enrollment software.

A big round of applause to the CCH Human Resources Team! Thanks for helping to keep our patients (and our staff) safe, happy and healthy.
