Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family
and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they
do for this organization.
Allow us to introduce Jeanne Meyer, RN, who works as a Care Manager in
the CCH Quality, Risk and Care Management Department at
Campbell County Memorial Hospital. Jeanne earned her Registered Nurse degree from
Central Wyoming College School of Nursing. She’s worked at CCH for 14 years, and has been an RN for 15 years,
primarily dealing with the
Medical/Surgical side of nursing.
Generally speaking, CCH's Quality department monitors and evaluates
trends within the organization, and uses that information to improve our
patients' experiences and increase patient satisfaction. For those
who don’t know, Care Managers at CCH develop and coordinate continued
care services for those admitted to CCMH and
The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center, such as referrals to
home health care,
rehabilitation, IV home infusion, and other post-hospital resources.
“I like the autonomy of being a Care Manager. This field is rapidly
growing in healthcare in all settings,” says Jeanne. “I enjoy
learning and figuring out complex situations. I love the challenges that
come with working with a variety of patients and their families.”
Before Jeanne work for CCH, for two years she worked at a small company
in the Riverton area that helped people with acquired brain injuries learn
life skills to be more interactive in their everyday life. Jeanne says
she’s always wanted to work in health care—she’s known
that she wanted to be a health care provider since she was in the third
grade. “Healthcare seems to be in my family’s DNA. I have
many family members that work / have worked as mid-level providers, pharmacists,
EMTs, and nurses in various settings,” she says.
When Jeanne isn’t at work, her son keeps her pretty busy. “We
do Cub Scouts together, and I am his Den Leader—it’s third
year as a leader, and it’s never a dull moment; I’ve learned
so many things,” she says. Jeanne enjoys coffee and dinner gatherings
with friends; and she really loves spend time with her family. “My
most favorite of all is being a mother to my 8-year-old son,” she says.
We asked Jeanne what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence
every day means to her. Check out her response:
“I’m very proud of everyone in the organization who works to
achieve higher care standards for our patients. There have been many individuals
who have sought further advancement in their specialties, and I get to
say that I work with them! The network, so to speak, of Campbell County
Health is amazing, from the top to the bottom. If I need help with a specific
need/situation, I can ‘phone a friend’!
Excellence every day, to me, means challenging yourself to be better than
you were yesterday. Then do that again tomorrow. Whatever the job or position,
department, or role one may have, there is a special opportunity to learn
and to share with others.”
Jeanne wanted to say one more thing to everyone: “Don’t forget
to laugh. Find the humor in something daily… and then share it
with someone else!”
Thank you, Jeanne, for all that you do for our patients, and for continually
making your colleagues smile. We appreciate you!
