Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family
and the Campbell County, Wyoming community to know about the good work
that they do for this organization.
Allow us to introduce Diana Steinlicht,
CNA, ADQ, who is an Activity Aide at
The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center in Gillette, Wyoming. Diana has been with CCH for more than nine years,
and received her Activity Professional Certificate in 2014 from
Casper College. In the activities department, Diana is part of a team who bring residents
a better quality of life in the facility. Activities they do with residents
include fishing at
Dalbey Memorial Park, attending community events, playing bingo, planting gardens, making art,
and much, much more.
Diana decided to work in health care after her mom fell ill when she was
in high school. “I spent most of my free time—and sleepless
nights—making sure my mom was taken care of. At one point then decided
to become a nurse; however, after working in activities and seeing a different
side of health care, I fell in love with the residents, and decided the
recreational or social part of health care was more of my passion,” she says.
When Diana is not at work, she is usually busy with her three children
and fiancé. They enjoy taking trips and having as many adventures
as possible. “I greatly enjoy my family and spending time with them
when not at work,” she says.
We asked Diana what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence
every day means to her. Check out her response:
“I enjoy making people feel better with a smile, or simply seeing
someone who came into the facility with the mid set of, "My life
is over," to realizing it’s just another chapter. I believe
that just because someone’s home has changed, it doesn't mean
they stop living—they can have the best life possible with us at
I love working in long-term care. I get to know and become friends with
the people I get the opportunity to care for, and I take the most pride
in seeing the residents I care for laughing and having a good time. The
Activities Department at The Legacy is small and were able to work closely
together with the same goal in mind. We greatly care about providing excellence
every day and I am honored to grow and learn from them every day."
Thanks, Diana, for bringing so much joy to the residents at The Legacy.
We appreciate you.
