Emergency nurses make a difference every day

While Campbell County Health appreciates our emergency nurses year round, we wanted to take a special moment during Emergency Nurses Week on October 6-12 to recognize our nurses for making a difference. In fact today, October 9, is Emergency Nurses Day!

CCH has more 35 Registered Nurses (RNs) in the Campbell County Memorial Hospital Emergency Department (ED) who are certified in four emergency areas.

ED by the numbers in 2019:

  • Total Patients: 16,347*
  • Total Pediatrics patients (13 years old and under): 2,207
  • Total Traumas (everything from a cut finger to a severe head injury): 3,390
  • Pediatric Trauma: 640

Emergency Nurses save lives. Please help us thank your colleagues and neighbors for their commitment to care.

*Note: Other visits would cover anything from a bad sore throat to abdominal pain, chest pain and more.
