Thanks for working here Thursday: Melainie Buer, CCMG Main Clinic

Melainie BuerCampbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Introducing Melainie Buer, the Front Desk Supervisor at the Campbell County Medical Group Main Clinic in Gillette, Wyoming. Located at Campbell County Memorial Hospital, the Main Clinic hosts the following clinics: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Urology. Melainie has worked for CCH for 20 years, and has been in the healthcare industry for 25 years.

Melainie was drawn to a career in health care because she wanted to help people. “Being able to help make a difference with people when their need for reassurance, optimism and support is the most vulnerable and permeable is important to me,” she says.

When asked who her healthcare hero is, without a question or a second thought, she names Dr. Bernadette Meade, who left CCH in 2018. “She is my healthcare AND human hero, for all the obvious reasons! We all should have her heart and compassion for life,” Melainie says.

When Melainie isn’t at work, she says that she enjoys spending time with her four legged blonde boys, animal advocacy and flower gardening.

We asked Melainie what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“Being asked to be a voice on the Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC). That truly was a compliment and I am very lucky to be a part of that group. The insight and feedback offered by the community members has been invaluable.

Our Main Clinic Team is a family. We have employees and providers who are genuinely here for the right reasons, and who want to do their best for the patients, the community, and our organization. It’s great to be part of this group.

To me, Excellence Every Day means taking every opportunity to make a difference. Those opportunities can come to you in many ways, but it’s recognizing the importance of being in the moment, whether it be with a patient, family member, employee or co-worker and ensuring you do your best to contribute positively in every situation, conversation, project or initiative.”

Melainie, thank you for all that you do for our patients. We appreciate you.

Is there a CCH employee who went the extra mile or shows you extraordinary service? Give them a pat on the back by completing an Excellence Every Day card.
