For those who don't know, a podiatrist, also known as a podiatric physician
or foot and ankle surgeon, is a medical professional devoted to the treatment
of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. Specializing in
treating ailments such as flat-footedness, sports medicine and injuries
to the foot and ankle, Dr. Allen will work with patients to improve their
mobility and manage their pain, as well as performing corrective treatments
for bunions, hammertoes, heel pain, warts and ingrown toenail problems.
He can also help with custom
orthotics. He understands the need for patients to be able to complete everyday
tasks without pain or struggle.
Dr. Allen enjoys treating children to correct pediatric deformities as
a specialty, and is proud to be one of the few surgeons in the country
offering Diabetic Neuropathy to relieve pain and restore feeling in the
lower extremities of diabetic patients.
Dr. Allen is from this region and after many years in the Midwest, moved
to Wyoming in 2008 to be closer to family. Originally from Utah, Dr. Allen
enjoys the wide open spaces of Campbell County's landscape and enjoys
the many activities our state has to offer.
In his free time, Dr. Allen enjoys spending time with his wife and three
children enjoying church activities, enjoying the outdoors and completing
home projects. He also enjoys woodworking and creating three-dimensional
wood carvings. A gallery of his projects can be seen on
CW Photo Woodcarving.
