Roxanne, (Roxi) Peters, PA-C, is happy to be back at PROS. She worked there
with Dr. Hans Kioschos from 2009-2014, and comes to Gillette from Ashton,
Idaho, where she was the sole provider in a rural general practice clinic.
Roxi received her Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant certification
from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. Roxi made her home
in Sundance for many years and practiced at Crook County Memorial Hospital
in Sundance and rural clinics in Moorcroft, Upton, Hulett and Sundance.
Roxanne loves being a photographer almost as much as she loves being a
grandmother, and knows the value of having good health for both. As a
Physician’s Assistant, Roxanne enjoys having her own patients and
helping pave the way for their preparation toward their recovery. Unlike
a surgeon’s schedule, Roxanne can take more time getting to know
her patients, her favorite aspect of her job. She completes testing, applies
casting and braces and works interdependently with the Orthopaedic Surgeon
on their patients’ needs. "I work with a great bunch of guys!",
she says, smiling.
Born and raised near Gillette, Roxanne became a Nurse Practitioner in 1978
through University of North Dakota, obtaining her Physician’s Assistant
certification as a dual degree. Roxanne is currently working on her Physician's
Assistant Master's Degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
She has spent most of her career in the region.
Roxanne likes the placement of Gillette between the Black Hills and the
Big Horns. She loves the mountains and unlike some, loves the Wyoming
weather! After living other places, she fees that in Wyoming, there is
something real about people which is unmatched anywhere else.
Roxanne has two perfect, smart, grandchildren she is happy to brag about.
She likes to take her dog for a nightly walk.
