A certified nursing assistant, or CNA, helps patients or clients with healthcare
needs under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical
Nurse (LPN). Also known as a Nursing Assistant (NA) a Patient Care Assistant
(PCA) or a State Tested Nurse Aid (STNA), the individual who carries this
title needs a strong work ethic and ability.
CNA II Class
Approved by the Wyoming State Board of Nursing for current Wyoming Certified
Nursing Assistants who wish to extend their role. Students must be 18
and have high school diploma or GED and current Wyoming CNA certificate.
Course requires employer verification of 1500 hour of experience as a
basic CNA. $450

The CNA Basic program is a three-week program (times subject to change

by the pre-class meeting. Upon notification of acceptance into the course,
students will need to enroll online to pay for the course.

In July of 2015, the
Wyoming Department of Health issued a statement that said the shortage of certified nursing assistants
(CNAs) in Wyoming is reaching crisis stage—a reality that we're
seeing here at Campbell County Health.
To help attract, and retain, other caring and compassionate individuals
to a career in health care in Gillette, Wyoming, CCH has created a
Care Assistant position to help qualified candidates receive their CNA license by paying for the
