CCMH Employee Elected Secretary of NHCA

  • Posted On:

GILLETTE, WY - Audiologist Kathy Schmidt-Miller, MS, CCC, has been elected Secretary/Treasurer of the National Hearing Conservation Association (NHCA). The mission of the NHCA is to prevent hearing loss due to noise and other environmental factors in all sectors of society. NHCA was formed in June of 1976, and its original members were mainly audiologists and otolaryngologists who were concerned with the serious problem of noise-induced hearing impairment resulting from occupational exposure to noise. The Association provides a forum where others of similar persuasion could share information and gain increased insights regarding occupational hearing conservation.

Ms. Schmidt-Miller is an audiologist providing services for the general public and for business and industry through CCMH Audiology and the Healthworks/Occupational Medicine department. She has been a member of NHCA since 2001 and previously served on the Executive Council as a member delegate. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the Wyoming Speech and Hearing Association.

CCMH Audiology is located at 1405 W. 4th Street in Gillette, or call 688.6652.
