GILLETTE, WY – Campbell County Health CEO Bob Morasko will transition to a consulting role on December 31, 2012. The hospital and Mr. Morasko mutually agreed to an amended employment agreement in October, according to Interim Board of Trustees Chair Nancy Tarver.
“We didn’t want to leave the hospital without a leadership succession plan,” said Mrs. Tarver. “Bob will be available to assist during the transition, as we begin the search for a new CEO.”
Mr. Morasko’s contract details the consulting services to be provided, including administration, physician recruitment, medical staff relations, compliance, and personnel matters. He will be available by phone during normal business hours, and provide services on site as needed until December 31, 2013.
“I appreciate the Board amending my contract in October, allowing me to be transparent while seeking another opportunity and assisting with transitioning CCMH’s leadership,” said Mr. Morasko. “It is good for both parties to maintain stability and promote continued growth in the organization.”
During his almost six year tenure as CEO, Bob has recruited numerous specialists and increased the number of Campbell County Clinics to fourteen. Bob negotiated the alignment of Powder River Orthopedics and Spine with CCMH, and has overseen the completion of the $68 million CCMH expansion project. He created the process of departmental strategic and operational plans and the Employee Engagement bonus to reward employees for ideas that will improve the organization. CCMH’s overall employee turnover also declined from 24% in 2007 to 16% in 2012. Finally, CCMH’s Earnings Before Interest, Depreciation and Amortization (EBIDA) in Fiscal Year 2012 improved by almost $9 million per year when compared to Fiscal Year 2008.
