AED Notification to Emergency Medical Services

GILLETTE, WY – Campbell County Health's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) department is updating its list of the Automated External Defibrillators (AED) located in Campbell County. Wyoming law requires all persons or agencies (facilities, businesses or organizations) that acquire an AED to notify their local EMS office.

This listing gives the EMS system the location of AEDs in the community. In the event of a sudden cardiac arrest emergency, the 9-1-1 dispatcher will know if an AED is on the premises and will be able to notify the EMS system and responders on the scene.

If your business or organization has an AED on the premises, and the status of the AED has changed through purchase or disposal of a unit, contact Nancy Jennings at 688.6006 or email Nancy.Jennings@ccmh.net.

EMS personnel will check AEDs upon request to ensure that the AED is functioning properly and that required maintenance is being performed.
