GILLETTE, WY – Campbell County Health and the Campbell County Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Team are sponsoring a Northeast Wyoming CISM Workshop,
Assisting Individuals in Crisis, scheduled for April 28-29, from 8 am-5 pm in the Community Room at Campbell County Fire Station #1, 106 Rohan Ave.
The workshop provides practical experience and intervention development for anyone in the field of Behavioral Health, Crisis Intervention, Disaster Response, Education, Emergency Services, Fire/Rescue, Employee Assistance, Healthcare, Human Resources, Law Enforcement and Spiritual Care. Assisting Individuals in Crisis will equip the participant in the appropriate intervention protocol of how to mitigate the emotional effects of the trauma experience in a one-on-one setting. This course is designed for anyone who desires to increase their knowledge of one-on-one crisis intervention techniques.
This course will provide 13 contact hours; 1.3 general CEU's are available from UMBC (University of Maryland Baltimore County.) A certificate of completion is issued to each participant. Cost: $100 before April 1 and $125 after April 1, 2016. Registration includes a workbook and certificate.
The Campbell County CISM Team is a group of local volunteers who provide crisis intervention services for those involved in a traumatic event.
