GILLETTE, WY –
Roy Buchanan, Campbell County Health
Rehabilitation Services, is one of three Registered Strength and Conditioning Coaches (RSCC) in
the State of Wyoming, and is the only RSCC certified professional in Gillette,
Wyoming. Roy Buchanan, NSCA, CSCS, RSCC, EP-C, has worked with CCH since 2011.
The National Strength and Conditioning Association’s (NSCA) Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach® is a designation that
signifies that a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)®
has demonstrated experience and knowledge in their field, and has more
than two years of experience. According to the NSCA, RSCC coaches apply
foundational knowledge to assess, motivate, educate, and train athletes
for the primary goal of improving sport performance.
The RSCC designation separates Roy from physical therapists and other performance-oriented
professionals due to an athlete-specific educational background, and a
high volume of hands-on experience with athletes. RSCC certification indicates
that the strength coach is committed to the profession of strength and
conditioning, and that they have the knowledge and experience to best
develop athletic potential via evidence-based practices.
Roy works with athletes of all ages, abilities and sports in the
EXCEL Athletic Performance programs at Rehabilitation Services in the
Stocktrail Building, 508 Stocktrail Avenue. EXCEL is offered year round for both youth and
adults. Rehabilitation Services provides complete athletic physical and
occupational rehabilitation care to people with musculoskeletal problems
caused by disease or injury.
To receive rehabilitation care at CCH, a physician referral is recommended.
