First Aid/CPR Classes

The CPR office and all classes are located at the American Heart Association Training Center at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. Use the main entrance, turn right past the Laboratory, and go down the hallway to the north. The AHA training room is located on the right.

Heartsaver CPR, First Aid and AED

Heartsaver courses offer a cohesive, consistent experience for the learner, best practices to give students the best possible learning experience and help them better retain information with enhanced and realistic scenarios while providing course and content flexibility. This course is offered with and without the First Aid component.

BLS Provider CPR

BLS is geared toward prehospital providers, like EMTs, Paramedics, Fire Fighters, and in-facility hospital providers. BLS teaches CPR, AED use and choking for adults, children and infants. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

BLS Provider CPR Skills Test

BLS Skills Tests are for those who have already completed the BLS Provider CPR course online and need to finish the course with the hands-on test. A physical copy of the online certification of completion is required. Upon successful completion of the skills test, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

ACLS is geared toward healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies or personnel in emergency response. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Skills Test

ACLS Skills Tests are for those who have already completed the ACLS course online and need to finish the course with the hands-on test (megacode). A physical copy of the online certificate of completion is required. Upon successful completion of the skills test (megacode), students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support for Experienced Providers (ACLS-EP)

The goal of the ACLS-EP course is to improve outcomes in complex cardiovascular, respiratory and other (e.g, metabolic toxicologic) emergencies by expanding on core ACLS guidelines and encouraging critical thinking and decision-making strategies. Through instruction and active participation in case-based scenarios, learners enhance their skills in the differential diagnosis and treatment of pre-arrest, arrest, and post-arrest patients.

Students must be currently ACLS certified and pass a megacode (without prompting) to take this course.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

PALS is geared toward healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Skills Tests

PALS Skills Tests are for those that have already completed the PALS course online and need to finish the course with the hands-on test (megacode). A physical copy of the online certificate of completion is required. Upon successful completion of the skills test (megacode), students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS)

PEARS is designed for healthcare providers and others who might encounter pediatric emergency situations during their work. During this course, students interact with real patient cases, and realistic simulations and animations to assess and stabilize pediatric patients experiencing respiratory and shock emergencies, and cardiopulmonary arrest. PEARS prepares students to provide appropriate lifesaving interventions within the minutes of response until a child can be transferred to an advanced life support provider.

Your CPR e-card will be delivered to the email address you provided to CCH. It comes from the American Heart Association and will look like the address below. If you don’t receive it within 10 days of your class, look in your spam portal and in your junk mail.
