Health care for women is much more than caring for women during pregnancy
and ensuring the delivery of a healthy baby. Complete care for women includes
preventive healthcare and screenings, education for mom, baby and family,
and supplies and equipment for pregnancy and beyond. Learn about the health

Maternal Child: The Campbell County Memorial Hospital Maternal Child Services Department
provides care and services for obstetrical, neonatal and infant patients.
Four birthing suites make the birth experience as homelike as possible,
with an adjacent C-section room if needed. Our Level II Nursery cares
for premature newborns needing more intensive care.
Prenatal Classes: A two-session prenatal classes for first-time moms, and their support person,
during their seventh or eighth month of pregnancy.
Lactation Education & Support: Lactation education and support classes, or individual one-on-one consultations
for mothers planning to breastfeed.

Mothers’ Milk Bank: Women can receive donated milk to augment breastfeeding, or donate milk
Equipment and Supplies: Home Medical Resources stocks pregnancy and support supplies including
compression stockings for water retention, maternity belts for pelvic
and back pain, Medela Breast pumps, (double electric and single electric),
and other breastfeeding supplies. CPAP and BiPAP equipment specifically
designed for women are also available. Insurance or Medicaid coverage
is available for many items.
Behavioral Health Services: Adult, child, family, group, individual mental and behavioral healthcare.
Including crisis services, parenting classes, psychiatric and psychological care.
Digital Mammography & Breast MRIs: Digital mammography is the most common screening method to detect anything
irregular or changes in the breast from previous scans. Breast MRIs allow
physicians an additional diagnostic tool for breast cancer.
Dexa Bone Scan: An enhanced x-ray that is used to measure bone loss such as osteoporosis.
Wellness: Enhance your relationship, with your healthcare provider, with the Women’s
Panel screening available at Wellness. You receive lab tests and health
screenings without a physician order. Walk-ins welcome!
