Why are you working in your chosen specialty? I’ve always had a passion for health; I realized when I was in college that I wanted to work in a field where I could help people in a wide array of health subjects. Working as a Health Educator has given me the ability to help others and learn something new on a daily basis.

Why is being a provider (doctor, therapist, counselor, DPT, APRN, PA-C, health coach) important to you? As a Health Educator I get to touch people’s lives on a daily basis, nothing feels greater than leaving work every day and feeling like I impacted someone’s life in a positive way.

Why did you choose to work for CCH? I grew up in Cody, Wyoming and after college I wanted to come back to work in Wyoming. I enjoy working in rural health care and providing a service to the people of Gillette.

What has made you feel the most pride in your work at CCH? As a Health Educator, nothing makes me feel more proud than to see clients take control over their health and make whatever changes they feel are necessary to improve their quality of life.

Who is your health care hero and why? I graduated from Montana State University – Billings and our Student Health Services had a Health Educator. After I met her, I changed my major from Biology to Health & Human Performance. I knew I wanted to become a Health Educator one day.

What advice do you give someone who is looking for a new provider? Find a provider that you feel a connection with. It’s important to be transparent with your provider so they can provide you the best care possible.

What do you do for fun? I enjoy the outdoors more than anything, it’s why I wanted to come back to Wyoming. In my free time I enjoy hunting, fishing, skiing, and four-wheeling, really anything that gets me outside.
