About Rickay

Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Rickay Wolf knows that seeking treatment for a person’s mental health is just as important as their physical health.

“People with asthma use an inhaler,” says Rickay. “People with high blood pressure take medication. Treatment for a mental health disorder is no different than that.”

Rickay worked as a registered nurse at CCH Behavioral Health Services for seven years after graduating from Gillette College and later, Western Governor’s University. As a nurse, she recognized the need for more mental health providers, which led her to attend Frontier Nursing University and graduate with a Master of Science degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Nurse practitioners are trained to emphasize the health and well-being of the whole person, with a focus on health promotion, disease prevention and health education and counseling.

In her new role as a nurse practitioner Rickay will see clients of all ages, including adolescents, to provide mental health evaluations and medication management. She is currently accepting new clients.

“Telepsychiatry (seeing clients remotely over a secure online video connection) definitely has a place in therapy, but meeting with people face-to-face is really important,” says Rickay. “I love helping people. It is a special privilege to be trusted to help others persevere through some of the most challenging and vulnerable times in their lives. It is wonderful to witness how clients can improve with the right treatment and tools, and see all the positive things about themselves they may have never realized before.”

When she’s not seeing clients, Rickay loves watching her children play sports, and boating and jet-skiing on the lake with her family. She and her husband Lance have a son Roman, daughters Paetyn and Karsyn, and another child on the way.
