About Sara
Name: Sara Olsen, MS, CHES
Amount of time working for CCH: 2018
Credentials and/or specializations: MS, CHES
Why are you working in your chosen specialty? I enjoy helping people. I have always wanted to be in health care and found that prevention and health education was a great place for me. I find it very rewarding helping people make changes to their health. Prevention goes a long way!
Why is being a provider (doctor, therapist, counselor, DPT, APRN, PA-C, health coach) important to you? Every person has some control of their health and it’s rewarding to motivate people to make changes that will benefit them in the long run.
Why did you choose to work for CCH? It’s a great facility in our community that values wellness and prevention.
What has made you feel the most pride in your work at CCH? Our Wellness team is awesome! They make work fun and are very talented. I also love my health coaching clients. They work so hard and make my job very enjoyable.
Who is your health care hero and why? My health care hero is my former boss Ann Breen, APRN, MN, OCN, at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. She has a passion for helping patients and really taught me a lot about patient education and healthcare.
What advice do you give someone who is looking for a new provider? Find a good fit. Find someone who you trust, who you can ask them anything, and share a laugh or cry with.
What do you do for fun? I enjoy cooking, crafting, exercising, hiking, biking, camping and spending time with my family.
