About Daniel

Dr. Daniel S. Allen brings his knowledge in the study of foot and ankle to the (Wyoming Orthopedic and Spine) team. Dr. Allen has been practicing in Gillette for the last 13 years and feels this to be what he now calls home. He relocated from the state of Indiana where he was in private practice and owned and operated three offices in different communities and worked with the local hospital es the director of a wound care clinic.

His medical training was at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, later renamed Des Moines University. He did his surgical residency in Indianapolis, Indiana at Westview hospital and is Board Certified through the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS) since 2003.

Dr. Allen enjoys all aspects of providing foot and ankle care to his patients, but finds helping pediatric patients the most gratifying. Providing answers and making a difference in the quality of life for young patients, that will benefit them for years to come, makes it all worth it for him.

Dr. Allen sees a wide range of patients aging from four-years-old to the most mature of us, treating problems from the straight forward to the more complex. Being able to keep people active and pain free in their day-to-day activities is not only challenging, but provides a source of fulfillment.

The wide open spaces and the outdoors is what brought him here years ago. A native of Utah, he is familiar with all of the benefits the west has to offer and tries to enjoy as much of it as possible. He has three grown children that are successful and have chosen a variety of career paths and continue to live in Wyoming.

In his spare time he enjoys working with his hands with a particular focus on woodworking.
