About Kimberly
Kimberly brings over 24 years of experience in audiology, with a background that spans medical, educational, and private practice settings. She holds a Master’s degree from the University of Connecticut and a Doctorate of Audiology from the Arizona School of Health Sciences.
Her clinical interests include hearing loss, tinnitus, auditory monitoring, and noise protection, but her focus is always on helping patients feel empowered and heard.
Her path to audiology began in an unexpected way. As an undergrad on a softball scholarship, Kimberly originally planned to pursue Library Science. But when the only classes left to register for were audiology courses, thanks to her last name starting with “S” at a very small college, she found herself taking senior-level courses as a freshman… and fell in love with the field. She’s been all in ever since.
When asked what she enjoys most about her work, Kimberly shared: “My favorite moments are when a patient is fit with hearing aids while a family member is there, and they suddenly realize how much they’ve been missing. The emotion, the joy of being able to communicate again, it’s incredibly rewarding. Communication keeps us together as humans.”
Originally from a small town in upstate New York, Kimberly grew up in a class of just 64 students. She’s lived all over the East Coast, from Vermont to Virginia to Florida, but she’s already feeling at home in Gillette and appreciates the small-town sense of community here.
Outside of work, Kimberly enjoys spending time with her dogs, one a rescue, and Enzo, who has even worked alongside her as a hearing therapy dog.
