Mohan Nandalur, MD

About Mohan

Dr. Nandalur specializes in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology and brings with him more than 20 years of clinical experience. He completed both his undergraduate and medical education at the University of Michigan, followed by his residency at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He went on to complete his cardiology fellowship at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and his interventional cardiology training in Chicago. He is board certified in both Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.

Medicine, and cardiology in particular, runs deep in Dr. Nandalur’s family. His father is a cardiologist, and both of his brothers and their wives are physicians as well. That strong family connection, combined with his personal interests, led him naturally to the field. “I prefer cardiology because it allows me to work with my hands and my brain at the same time,” he shares.

His approach to patient care is rooted in evidence-based medicine while recognizing that every patient is unique. He values understanding each individual’s specific circumstances and goals, and he works collaboratively with patients to help them actively participate in their own healthcare decisions.

From an interventional standpoint, Dr. Nandalur treats patients requiring angioplasty and stent placement, including those experiencing acute heart attacks. He also cares for patients with coronary artery disease, blockages, heart rhythm and electrical issues, as well as those seeking routine heart screenings, preventative care, and long-term cardiac maintenance.

He was drawn to our organization through a long-standing professional connection with Dr. Shah, who shared insight into the opportunity here. Over the past two decades, Dr. Nandalur has worked a unique and demanding schedule, spending two weeks on at a hospital in Butte, Montana, followed by two weeks off, during which he supported a variety of smaller hospitals across the country. Through this work, he has obtained additional medical licenses in Colorado, Arizona, Oregon, and North Dakota.

Outside of work, he has a strong passion for travel. Over the past several years, he has traveled extensively across the globe, spending nearly 12 months out of the last 2 years in Europe alone. Earlier in life, he also enjoyed photography, mountain climbing, hiking, and other outdoor pursuits.

He shares that he is excited to do the best he can for patients and looks forward to exploring additional ways he can contribute to and expand services within our organization.
