About Nicole
Originally from the small town of Miami, Oklahoma, Nicole Keesee, APRN, MSN-FNP, found her calling in healthcare at a young age. After witnessing her stepfather’s battle with severe emphysema and afterwards, a lung transplant, Nicole was deeply impacted by the compassionate care of his Home Health nurses. This experience sparked her passion for medicine and inspired her to pursue a career focused on helping others.
Nicole began working in healthcare at age 19 as a Patient Care Technician while completing her nursing prerequisites. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Phoenix. Over the past 20 years, she has gained extensive experience in multiple hospital settings, including internal medicine, and urgent care.
Her clinical journey has been driven by a love for variety and a desire to build meaningful connections with patients. While working in urgent care in Arizona, Nicole saw up to 60 patients per day and found great satisfaction in providing timely, compassionate care. Her commitment to patient relationships is evident as patients have even followed her to new clinics just to remain under her care.
At Campbell County Health’s Walk-In Clinic, Nicole looks forward to serving the Gillette community and hopes to be part of a positive shift in local perceptions of healthcare. She believes in using humor when appropriate to help patients feel at ease and values open communication as a foundation for trust and healing. Nicole’s focus is to help her patients heal and focus on preventative care to help them live healthier and happier lives.
Outside of her work in medicine, Nicole enjoys reading, hiking, and riding ATVs. She is also a proud mother of two boys and values spending time with her family in the great outdoors.
