We Serve a Good Purpose Here

Editor's note: The other day, CCMH Community Relations Director Karen Clarke sat down with Lynn Perlenfein, PA-C, to learn more about her, and why she recently accepted a position with the Gillette Walk-In Clinic—Campbell County Clinics.

Lynn Perlenfein, PA-C, is the newest member of the Walk-in Clinic team, here a little more than two months. She has been in Gillette for 17 years, working in the urgent care setting and operating a cosmetic skin practice. She performed procedures like chemical peels, microdermabrasion and laser treatments for about four years.

Lynn attended Physician Assistant School at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, in the second graduating class of what was at that time a brand new program.

“I like the flow of urgent care,” said Lynn. “It’s fast-paced and the day goes by fast. You get to see a lot of different things and keep up your skills.”
Lynn believes that part of her role it to educate patients on how they can improve their health.

“Even though we like to be close to the emergency department, we’re not trying to be the emergency department,’ said Lynn. “The Walk-in Clinic serves a good purpose.”

When she’s not at the clinic, you may see Lynn out on the golf course. She just learned to play two years ago. Other hobbies include gardening, hiking and camping.

Welcome to the team!
