Thanks for working here Thursday: Danielle Wood, CCH Infection Prevention, Professional Development, and Disaster Preparedness

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Meet Danielle Wood, the Office Coordinator for the CCH Infection Prevention, Professional Development, and Disaster Preparedness department. This team provides annual compliance education, continuing education and assistance with formal education and certificates. The department partners with several community colleges and universities to offer students clinical experience. Our Health Sciences Education Center is located on the Gillette College campus and provides us with the ability to hold several classes concurrently. This department also includes Employee Health and the medical library for staff.

If you can imagine, she has quite the job. Danielle has an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Sign Language Interpretation, and is a Notary Public. She’s worked for CCH for the last four years. She was inspired to work in health care because she enjoys, “working with people and in healthcare you get a wide variety.”

According to her colleague, Rose Rennell, RN, the phrase “Ask Danielle, she’ll know,” is something you’ll hear daily amongst her team, and other colleagues throughout the organization. “And Danielle does know; she keeps all of us on track,” says Rose.

“She keeps us all organized, and is a great ambassador for the departments to the community and CCH staff,” says the Department Director Veronica Taylor, RN. “She answers questions and definitely goes out of her way to be sure that the customers’ needs are met. Danielle is a great example of ‘excellence every day’.”

For Danielle, anyone and everyone who cares for another person is a health care hero. “It doesn’t matter what your role is, every role in a health care organization is important in taking care of a patient’s or resident’s needs. I see greatness in them all,” she says.

For fun, lately, Danielle says that she has been remodeling her house! “However, I really enjoy going to my boys’ ball games, camping and fishing, and spending time with family and friends,” she says.

We asked Danielle what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“There are so many things that CCH’s departments do, as well as the organization, as a whole. I just feel that this is a great organization that really has our patients, residents, and community’s best interest at heart. My department works really well as a team. Each person has their own responsibilities, but they all seem to mesh into one, solid unit. I really enjoy learning from others in my department and helping them out as best as I can.

For me, Excellence Every Day means that I’m bringing the best of myself to work, every day.”

We appreciate you, Danielle. Thank you for being a part of our team!
