First responders get a tasty thank you from local Girl Scout Troop

Thanks to an anonymous benefactor, Girl Scouts of Montana & Wyoming Troop 1643 donated $550 worth of Girl Scout cookies to first responders in Campbell County, Wyoming last week.

The girls were set up outside Walmart in Gillette, Wyoming last Sunday when one generous person bought $550 worth of cookies, cleaning out all their available boxes. Other people came forward and donated $100 to purchase even more cookies when they found out that the cookies were going to Campbell County Health Emergency Medical Services, Campbell County Fire Department, Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, City of Gillette Police Department and CCH Home Health and Hospice. The additional cookies will be going to the City of Gillette Animal Shelter when they arrive.

Troop 1643 has 20 members between the ages 5 to 12 years old, according to Troop leader Amber Jackson-Jordan. They really enjoyed delivering the cookies, and the recipients enjoyed receiving them!

Thanks to all who brightened the day for our local first responders.
