Thanks for working here this week: Tara Worden, CCH Home Medical Resources

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Allow us to introduce Tara Worden, a Medical Equipment Specialist with the CCH Home Medical Resources department in Gillette, Wyoming. Tara has worked for CCH for seven and a half years. For those who don’t know, Home Medical Resources is an HQAA-accredited provider of durable medical equipment, supplies and services. The team is part of a nation-wide membership with contacts for more than 3,500 durable medical equipment providers throughout the United States and the Caribbean.

Tara was inspired to work in health care because she loves working in retail and loves working with public. “Having to ability to do both and make a difference in a person’s life is huge,” she says.

Her health care heroes are her mother and brother. “My mom is currently a hospice nurse for CCH. Growing up she showed me you were never too old to go back to school to better yourself and create a career. My brother is a Marine Corp veteran—he decided to go to school for nursing as well, and he works for a VA Hospital. I think it is great because he has made his career more personable for the patient and is able to relate to his patients,” she says.

When she’s not at work, Tara spends a lot of time with her family. “I have a husband of 14 years and an 8-year-old son. We love spending time watching movies, and just hanging out at the house with family and friends,” she says.

We asked Tara what she likes most about working at CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“I take pride in my work every day. If I can make a positive impact in someone’s life I know I did my job. Taking one or two extra minutes with a patient can make their entire day, and that’s something I strive to do. What I like the most about the department I work in is that the people I work with are not only my co-workers, they are my work family. I know they have my back no matter what the situation is. We have formed our department into a team, and that is great accomplishment in itself. I love working for CCH—I am able to help people, and it has taught me a lot. I can’t wait to see what the future brings.

Excellence Every Day to me is being the best me I can be. I want to provide the best service and patient care to my patients, and coworkers. It is striving to be better, creating a great working environment, trying to go above and beyond to create better attitudes in every situation and make patients want to come back, as well as co-workers (or work family) enjoy their jobs.”

Thank you, Tara for going above and beyond in patient care. We appreciate you.
