Thanks for working here this week: Danielle Wood, CCH Professional Development

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Meet Danielle Wood, who works as a Community Education Specialist and AHA Training Center Coordinator in the Professional Development department in Gillette, Wyoming. She’s been with CCH for seven years (but been in health care for eight) and is a Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider and a CPR Instructor. She earned her Associate in Applied Science in American Sign Language Interpretation.

For those who don’t know, Danielle is part of a team that provides annual compliance education, continuing education and assistance with formal education and certificates for all of CCH’s employees. The department partners with several community colleges and universities to offer students clinical experience. Our Health Sciences Education Center is located on the Gillette College campus and provides CCH with the ability to hold several classes concurrently.

Danielle says that she was inspired to work in health care because she likes to help people in any way that she can. “I love teaching and without being in a medical field, teaching is the closest I can come to helping others. My love for healthcare has grown in the seven years that I have been here,” she says.

Danielle says that she is truly inspired every day by those who care for patients, at CCH and everywhere else. “They’re all heroes to me,” she says.

When she’s not at work, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family—camping, fishing and just hanging out.

We asked Danielle what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“We have a really great team (all departments combined) that works together and support each other.

Excellence Every Day means going above and beyond for your coworkers, students, patients/residents and visitors. If you are able to help, do it to the best of your ability every day.”

Thank you, Danielle, for being a part of our team. We appreciate you!
