Patient Financial Advocates and Medical Records/Release of Information Staff move to Campbell County Memorial Hospital

Two Campbell County Health (CCH) services, Patient Financial Advocates and Medical Records/Release of Information, are moving from their current locations to improve patient convenience.

Patient Financial Advocates (formerly Patient Financial Counselors) are moving to the hospital from the Pioneer Building on Monday, March 7, 2022. The role of the Patient Financial Counselor is to assist patients regarding their financial obligations and help with billing concerns. They will be located just off the hospital main lobby, adjacent to Patient Access/Registration. One counselor will be on site temporarily at the Pioneer Building in case patients come to that location.

A Medical Records staff member will be moving to a new office located just off the hospital main lobby, adjacent to Patient Access/Registration on Monday, March 14, 2022. This staff member will assist patients with Release of Information forms and copies of patient medical records. The move will reduce the distance patients must currently travel within the hospital to get Release of Information forms and copies of their medical records.

“Moving the Patient Financial Counselors into the hospital is part of the bigger plan to retire the Pioneer Building,” said Mary Lou Tate, Chief Financial Officer. “Prior to the decision to vacate that building, we had been planning for a more convenient location for patients to obtain assistance with their bills and copies of their medical records without having to travel through the hospital or to an offsite location. Convenient patient accessibility to these services was the main consideration in where we relocated these services.”
