A Tremendous Team Victory
When it comes to patient safety and infection control, numbers matter. That’s why we’re thrilled to share that Campbell County Health (CCH) has been named one of the 463 hospitals nationwide with the lowest Clostridioides difficile (C. diff) rates, joining Sheridan Memorial Hospital as the only two in Wyoming to make that list. (Becker’s Hospital Review).
What Does This Recognition Mean?
The Becker’s list highlights hospitals that achieved a zero rate of health-care–associated C. diff infections from October 2023 through September 2024.
A zero C. diff rate places hospitals at the lowest possible incidence level, a benchmark many strive for, but few attain.
This recognition means safer care, fewer complications, and stronger confidence for our patients and their families.
How Did We Get Here?
It takes teamwork at every level. From strict cleaning protocols and antibiotic stewardship to early detection, staff education, and a culture built around safety, every department plays a role in preventing infections and protecting our patients.
Why This Matters for Our Community
Patient Trust and Confidence: Safer care strengthens community outcomes.
Better Outcomes: Fewer infections mean fewer complications and shorter hospital stays.
Pride in Our Team: This national recognition highlights the dedication of all CCH employees to community safety.
This recognition is a testament to the commitment, vigilance, and coordinated effort of every employee at Campbell County Health.
