CCMH Employee to Run 100 Miles
Emergency Medical Services Manager Gregg Mentzel plans to compete in the Boulder 100 Run on October 16. Gregg's mission is to finish the 100 miles in the alloted 30 hours, and raise money for his fellow employees.

How will this work? CCMH Employees purchase a chance on Gregg's finsih time--somewhere between 19 and 24 hours. The winner has the time closest to Gregg's actual finish without going over and gets half the money raised. The rest goes to the GIVE Grant, a fund to help employees in need.

Employees can request GIVE Grant funds for things likes a medical emergency, fire or other disasters. Funds are raised from various sources, such as employee payroll deduction and "Denim Day", where employees can wear jeans on Fridays.

"It's going to be an experience of pain and I want to test my toughness to endure it." Gregg said, "In the end, it'll all come down to me, but my pacers/handlers/crew and support will make it a team sport."
