GILLETTE, WY—Safe Kids Campbell County is hosting a Child Safety Seat Check on Friday, May 12 from 12-3 pm at the Campbell County Health Home Medical Resources Office, 901 W. Second Street, which is across from the Rockpile Museum in Gillette.

The car seat inspections are part of a Buckle Up Kids Program, a four-day Child Passenger Safety Technician training. At the Child Safety Seat Check, newly certified technicians, under the supervision of Child Passenger Safety Technician instructors, will perform inspections as well as train parents and caregivers to install and adjust their car seats properly. Participants are asked to bring the child, their current car seat and the vehicle that they normally travel in for the check. Inspection time is around 30 minutes.

Safe Kids Campbell County provides our community with free car seat checks and much more to help educate our children on preventing accidental injuries. Weekly inspections may also be scheduled at 307.688.SAFE (7233). Inspections take place on Wednesdays at the EMS Base at 502 Stocktrail Avenue in Gillette.
