Meet Dana Morin, the new WWAMI Student

New WWAMI clerkship student Dana Morin just started her six-week OB GYN rotation at Summit OB GYN. Dana grew up in Gillette and Sheridan, and Gillette was the first choice as she ranked her picks for an OB rotation.

As a fifth grade student in the GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) program Dana remembers spending time with then Maternal Child Manager Tracy Wasserburger. This experience sparked Dana’s interest in neonatology, and she’s looking forward to seeing Tracy work as a neonatal nurse practitioner as one of the CCH's hospitalists.

Created in 1971, WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho) is a partnership between four western states that do not have medical schools. Students who complete the WWAMI program receive their medical degree from the University of Washington (UW) in Seattle.

Dr. Angela Biggs is part of the teaching faculty at UW, and Dana will be working closely with Dr. Anderson, Dr. Biggs and Dr. Amber Cohn in both the office and hospital settings.
